The Night Life.  This is when I wear my sunglasses.

Lucky Stars.  Make a wish!

Death Wish.  "Comic books" sure have a morbid fascination, don't they?

Psychologists could probably read a lot into the fact that there are so many characters in comicdom with their basis in weaponry and destruction.  Especially given the relative paucity of characters named after pieces of dinnerware.

The Edge.  Cuts like a knife..

Ballistics.  I've got you in my sights..

Leftovers.

Destruction.  War is hell.

Personnel.

Everyone likes to think they're witty.  Just look at the rest of this page that actually screams out "Hey, I'm a huge geek!"  But comic book writers are sometimes the biggest nerds of all.

Puns.  These are always in bad taste.

Inventive Spelling.  The only thing worse than puns are those who don't even try to make a decent one.

Compound words.  Sometimes a couple words just sound cool together.  After that, you just need to come up with something in latex.

Random names.  This is what happens when you use your random super hero name generator.

Expressions.  Almost as bad as the puns.

This is perhaps formula writing at its worst.

"O" K?  Add an "O" and you're a superhero!

A, baby!  Add an "A" and you're probably a superheroine!

OS.  Add variation on the "O" concept.

Get your name ON.  Variation #2

X-rated.  More of the same.

Irregular "AR" words.  Another variation.

Add and "O" and you're a superhero!

How do you convey that you have a super team?  The following groups use team words.

Teamsters.  Union rules.

Forcing the issue.  Easily the most over-used word from the above lists.

Opposites attract?  At a loss for an original bad guy group?  Just spin them into the opposite.
