• TopoZone -  This is my new favorite resource for street maps, aerial photos, and topographical maps.  As with the others, you get limited access for free, but they have a very reasonable subscription price relative to the others I have seen.

• Terraserver -  Search by address, GPS coordinates, etc.

• GlobExplorer -  Excellent quality pics in color!

• Mapquest -  No satellite photos any longer (and no explanation as to why they disappeared!), but this is a good resource for mapmaking.  You can enter your GPS coordinates on this page.

• Geocaching -  Not UrbEx per se, but it has enormous crossover potential!

• GPS distance calculator -  Calculates the distance (as the proverbial crow flies) between two points.  Even if you take a circuitous route, if you have several waypoints, you can get an approximation by summing the respective distances.  Note: I have received some clearly erroneous results from this calculator.  Try the one below.

• Another distance calculator - This one is easier to use than the one above, gives output in miles/feet (not km), and has produced less errors than the one above.

• Conversion: degree/minute/seconds to decimal degrees -  Because you know what a pain it is to try and get satellite photos otherwise...

• Another converter -  Goes in both directions.
