Post-Katrina Explorations: Days Inn, cont'd
Continuing where we left off...

Here's a look over the pool toward the back of the motel.

Note the green roof in the distance.  It looks like it's on this building, but it actually belongs to the Best Western behind the Days Inn.

No, seriously.  I honestly couldn't make that up.

Yes, that's a TV in the pool.  It's in the shallow end, naturally.

I'm not sure if this was the direct result of the hurricane or just a little message from Keith Moon from beyond the grave.

This is a look down the length of rooms on the back of the first floor.

If your after-prom party was this bad, odds are you are still in the coma that prevents you from reporting on it.

This is a look at the opposite side from before.

This side was hit even harder, if such a thing was possible.  There were more broken windows on this side than the others.

Here's the corner room.

My only complaint was that there wasn't a mint on the moldy pillow under all the piles of insulation.

See, you don't need to leave the motel to get a tan.

Watch your step.  There isn't even a trace of the railing up here.

The groundskeeper has quite a task ahead of him.

This is a look down toward the pool from the top floor.

Well, like I said, there is a railing up here, but it isn't in the best shape seeing as how there's no roof left to attach to.
