Volume for block of wood = l*w*h

To find mass of water:
Find the mass of the small graduated cylinder
Put an amount of water in the graduated cylinder and find the mass of both
Subtract the two masses to get the mass of the water

Notes for teacher

Using a balance, find the mass of each object.
Record data into a data table
Determine the volume for each object:
a.Water-displacement method (ml) graduate cylinder
b.Length x Width x Height (block of wood) (cm3)  (ruler)
Record volume into data table.
Using data collected, determine the density for each object.  Be sure to use the correct units.
