Meteor Crater Lab
Introduction:  There are a number of variables to consider when examining the effects of a meteorite collision with the Earth (or any other celestial entity for that matter).  How big was the meteorite?  How fast was it moving?  At what angle did it collide into the earth?

Your job is to try out a number of variables and describe the results of those trials.

Below is a template for recording your results.  Be sure to label the parts of your craters as you draw them so that you are aware of the multiple features to analyze.

Trial #_____

Height dropped from: ______ cm

Mass of rock #1: _______ grams

Size of crater: Diameter of crater: _______ cm

   Depth of crater:  _______ cm
