Boyle’s Law Lab
Objective:
Explore the relationship between pressure and volume.

Lab Procedure:

-place one book on the pipet.

-measure the distance from the end of the pipet to the edge of the food-colored water.

-record this as the volume at one “book” of pressure.

-continue to test this system with more pressure until you are unable.

Data

Volume:

Pressure:

Post Lab:

1. On a separate sheet graph the pressure vs. the volume of this system.

2. Why didn’t you graph the pressure with 0 books?

3. Is there any pressure on the outside of the pipet when there were no books?
