The Senses: An introduction
How many senses do you have?  List them.  How do you tell if you're hungry or thirsty?  Can you tell the difference?


Can you think of animals that have better senses than you?  Give examples of these animal and their senses.

What are some artificial means of sensing things which we cannot consciously sense naturally?

Propose a scheme for classifying the various senses you listed in the previous questions.

What is sensory adaptation?  Give an example for two of the senses.
