Halloween 2006: Dani!
Every year for work Dani and her co-workers dress up for Halloween.  Considering she worked at an Alzheimer's residence, I'm not sure what her patients thought of this exactly, but I get a kick out of it, and she gets to make another costume of her own choosing.  This year she and her co-worker/buddy Melanie decided to go as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr. Seuss' The Cat In the Hat.
Dani already finished one wig by this point.  That thing that looks like a giant bear claw will be stitched together to make the four sides of the other Thing's hair.

The fabric was something we spotted at a craft store.  She also bought another variety, but the color was too light and it was curly rather than sticking up and out like the characters'.  I don't know what the hell we're going to do with the rest of this material.

And, yeah, we really needed to finish getting the junk up on eBay and out of the front room when I took these pics.
Here's the final version of the wig up close.  (Ideally, you should tuck your hair in if you want people to think you're naturally blue and spikey.)
And from the front.  With some method acting, I think.
The logo was taken from an image of the characters, then enlarged in MS Word and printed out (That's the circle at the top).  Dani used this as the template and made the logos for herself and Mel.

Then she just stitched these onto a couple sets of red sweats...
...and here's the final version!

(And the blue wall makes an awesome backdrop once again!  Yay!!!)
...and here are Mel and Dani at work frightening everyone, same as most days.
