All the Coil Combinations!

I got curious about how many possible unique pickup combinations you could have in a guitar, so I decided to just lay them all out there mathematically rather than starting with a switching configuration and working backwards.  Note that the majority of these resulted from phase reversals.  To see a stripped-down version minus all the additional combinations resulting from phase switching, see this page.

For the purposes of this exercise, I went with a HHH guitar since the greatest number of coils you could realistically have in a guitar is six (or three humbuckers).  If you want to see the number of combinations for, say, a HSH (aka SuperStrat), just ignore every combination with a "6" in it, since a HSH would have 5 coils.  For a HH or SSH guitar, just ignore the combinations with either a "5" or a "6" in them.  And so on.
